SUMMARY: The Communications and Social Media Manager will collaborate closely with the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to implement a comprehensive and integrated institutional marketing plan. This role focuses on managing a vibrant bilingual community across various social media platforms, ensuring brand consistency, fostering engaging interactions and increasing followers. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills in both English and Spanish, coupled with strong design abilities, to effectively drive social media campaigns aligned with broader marketing strategies.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION - A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred. Bilingual required (Fluent in English/Spanish)
REQUIRED AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Design, or related field.
- Proven experience in social media management and community engagement, preferably in a bilingual (English/Spanish) environment.
- Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and video editing software.
- In-depth knowledge of social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Snapchat, and YouTube.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences. Fluent in both English and Spanish.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, extract insights, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling, brand building, and community engagement.
- Solid understanding of project management principles.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills (English and Spanish).
- Outstanding organizational and planning abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively across a diverse, matrixed communication team to ensure messaging and programs are delivered quickly, consistently, and powerfully across multiple channels and locations.
- Three (3) years of experience planning and executing comprehensive social media communications and community engagement strategies.
