PGA Dentistry in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our professional team! Are you looking for a rewarding opportunity? Look no further!

Position Details:

Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready
Assist the dentist during dental procedures by handing them instruments, suctioning, and providing support as needed
Take and record patients' vital signs, medical history, and dental charting
Perform dental receptionist duties such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and managing patient records as needed
Educate patients on dental treatments, proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care instructions
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment
Assist with laboratory tasks such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns
Lab case management

Skills:

Proficiency in dental practice management systems such as Dentrix
Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members
Ability to take accurate vital signs and record detailed medical history
Knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology to assist the dentist during procedures
Understanding of infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff
