Responsibilities:

• Assist with booking and scheduling shipments under the guidance of experienced team members.
• Learn key metrics and contribute to reporting data alongside the team.
• Develop strong communication skills by interacting with customers, carriers, and colleagues.
• Assist with identifying and resolving capacity challenges within the team.
• Gain exposure to logistics technology and tools used to secure equipment and assign carriers.
• Observe and learn negotiation techniques used to secure competitive carrier rates.
• Contribute to ensuring all planned shipments are covered.
• Support in the training and development of new team members.
• Assist with monitoring carrier performance.

Qualifications:

• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic Google Suite experience.
• Excellent communication and phone etiquette skills.
• Eagerness to learn and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Flexible work schedule availability a plus.
