Civil Design Engineer

We serve clients ranging from real estate developers, governments, and food and beverage and industrial manufacturers.

We’re seeking a Civil Design Engineer who will design state of the art water and wastewater treatment solutions that optimize performance, reduce environmental impact, and ensure the longevity of water and wastewater systems.

As a member of the Technical & Digital Services (TDS) group you’ll share the vision of being a pioneer in leveraging cutting-edge technologies and digital solutions to redefine efficiency, precision, and sustainability in water and wastewater infrastructure. We envision a future where technology seamlessly integrates with engineering prowess to create smarter, more resilient systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare preliminary and final designs for complex projects.
• Translate customer requirements into functional system designs and diagrams.

• Review project specifications to ensure that design and documentation align with the requirements.

• Assist with the preparation of requests for proposals and evaluation of proposals.
• Conduct system calculations from preliminary to final design

• Provide markups for plans and lead cost estimates.
• Coordinate with project staff, other disciplines, subconsultants, clients, and reviewers to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
• Manage and maintain project documentation, including meeting project schedules, budgets, and scope.
• Mentor junior staff with technical and professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil or other related field) or equivalent experience 
• Licensed Professional Engineer in one or more States preferred 
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in general construction, utilities, and/or water and wastewater treatment plants.
• Experience in the water and wastewater treatment industry preferred.
• Ability to read and understand civil, mechanical, structural, and electrical drawings.  
• Ability to create process & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs). 
• Proficient with CAD and other design software platforms. 

Location: Hybrid. Preferred location Bulverde, TX or Austin, TX.  A fully remote work arrangement may be considered for the right candidate.

Base Salary: $70k-100k annually*  

*The provided base salary range is used nationally. The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
