Metal Shear and Brake Operator

Are you a skilled operator looking for a dynamic and challenging role? We are currently seeking a Shear and Brake Operator to join our team. As a Shear and Brake Operator, you will be responsible for operating machinery to shear and bend metal sheets according to specifications. The ideal candidate will be hardworking, detail-oriented, and proficient in reading a tape measure.

Responsibilities:

• Operate shear and brake machinery to cut and bend metal sheets to required specifications.

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine the necessary cuts and bends.

• Set up and adjust machines to ensure accurate and precise cutting and bending.

• Monitor machine operations to detect any issues or defects and make adjustments as necessary.

• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy, ensuring they meet the required specifications.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety guidelines and procedures.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Shear and Brake Operator or similar role.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.

• Proficiency in using tape measures and other measuring tools.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in measurements.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.

• Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials.
