As a Trailer Technician, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of trailers to ensure they meet safety and operational standards. Your expertise in diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical issues will be critical in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of trailers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Position:

• Full-time
• In-person
• Hours - 11am-7pm M-F

Responsibilities:

• Provide daily fleet service for Large Customer Trailer Fleet.
• Conduct routine inspections of the trailer to identify and address mechanical, electrical, or structural issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure trailers are in optimal working condition.
• Check daily outgoing loaded trailers to make sure they are roadworthy and safe.
• Repair trailers: electric system, air brake system, landing gear, suspension, axels, doors, and scuff liner.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with brakes, suspensions, lighting, and other trailer components.
• Repair or replace damaged parts, components, or systems as needed.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed on each trailer.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth workflow.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations during all maintenance and repair activities.
• Stay up to date with industry regulations, safety standards, and manufacturer guidelines.
• Assist customers during breakdowns by providing on-site repairs and troubleshooting services.

Qualifications:

• Valid Driver's License
• Any Trailer Manufacture Special Schooling.
• Two to Three years of trailer repair experience.
• Familiar with Full Bay Shop Software is a plus
• Strong knowledge of trailer systems, hydraulics, and electrical components
• Proficiency in using various repair tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices common in the field.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals and blueprints.
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation:

• $27.00 - $30.00 / hour

George has been in the transportation industry since 2017 working as the operations and maintenance manager for Sullivan Transportation, Inc.
