Position Summary

This position leads a small group of 7-12 people to produce ILLUME products.  This includes elements of verifying componentry and line set up and awareness of quality and productivity drivers.

Five Key Accountabilities

• Ensure accurate line set up
• Follow quality and filling specifications
• Achieve productivity standards by partnering with Supervisors
• Coordinate line change over and line clearance
• Work on production line alongside line employees

Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure accurate line set up

• Verify all components are accurate and ready for each production order.
• Work with Change-Over Technicians to calibrate the production line for each production order.

Follow quality and filling specifications

• Perform in-process checks or audits to confirm the production line is set up within filling specifications and meet ILLUME quality standards. If relevant, record findings.
• Share line set up, quality and/or filling specifications with line employees to ensure consistent adherence to specifications and standards.
• Assist in training new leads and line employees.

Achieve productivity standards by partnering with Supervisors

• Assist line employees to make sure they are logged into the right shop order.
• Share productivity goals and post/document hourly progress.
• Assist supervisors in set up of line for best workflow and reducing waste.
• Report quantity of units produced for each production order.
• Create and maintain other documentation as needed.
• Motivate the team to achieve solid performance.

Coordinate line change over and line clearance

• Notify team members to clear the line of any materials from the previous production run.
• Work with Mixing department, Change-Over Technicians and Material Handlers to set up line for next production run.
• Ensure cleanliness of all designated work areas.

Work on production line alongside employees

• Able to perform any job on the production line.
• Identify where help is needed and work in any production line job to assist team in achieving quality and productivity goals.
• Assist new team members in working with more efficiency by modeling the correct processes and policies.

Skills & Knowledge Required

• Model safe working behaviors and wear required personal protective equipment
• Must be able to read, write and speak English
• Comfortable working on computers and with new technology
• Able to accurately report and enter data
• Preferred work experience in manufacturing setting
• Able to communicate effectively with coworkers
