Job Description

Yoh has an immediate need for a Music Catalog Coordinator. This is a 7 week project starting in June. onsite 4 days per week in Culver City, CA.

Pay up to $36 per hour w2 based on experience

This team manages the copyrights for music and ensure paid on royalties. License out music for outside parties such as commercials, other studios, etc. Funnel requests, gather rights & licenses, quality assurance/ research, working in files & contracts, quote fees, work in databases, etc. Sound record licenses, synchronization. Experience at another film studio, music publishing, or a record label.

As part of the Music Administration team within Music Affairs, the Manager of Music Catalog Exploitation will focus on generating revenue by licensing studio-owned or controlled musical works. Responsibilities include:

Managing incoming music licensing requests, securing all necessary approvals and clearances, negotiating deal terms, issuing quotations, and drafting and issuing sound recording and synchronization licenses.
Tracking licensing revenue, producing licensing reports, and coordinating royalty payments to income participants.
Developing marketing and promotional plans to promote the use of studio music and to pitch songs for potential placement into trailers, advertisements, and other audio/visual works.
Conducting music rights research and contributing to the department’s rights management system.
