Paz Music & Arts Academy of St. John’s is expanding and seeking experienced, motivated, and personable music instructors to join our growing team in our brand-new, purpose-built studio.
We are a family-owned and family-run academy with nearly four decades of experience in music education. Our instructors include active performers, seasoned educators, and music degree candidates who share a passion for teaching and inspiring students of all ages.
This is an excellent opportunity for musicians looking for steady, consistent teaching work in a professional, supportive, and well-organized environment—without the burden of scheduling, billing, or marketing.

Teaching Schedule
All lessons are taught onsite during the following hours:
- Tuesday: 12:00–8:00 PM
- Wednesday / Friday: 4:00–8:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM–2:00 PM
Instructors are scheduled for specific time blocks based on availability and student demand.
Position Responsibilities
- Teach private music lessons (primarily 30-minute sessions)
- Create a fun, encouraging, and structured learning environment
- Communicate music concepts and fundamentals clearly to students of varying ages and skill levels
- Adapt lesson plans to individual student needs, goals, and learning styles
- Track student progress and provide constructive, positive feedback
- Maintain a professional, organized studio presence
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and academy staff
Qualifications & Requirements
- Strong understanding of music fundamentals and basic music theory
- Experience teaching music lessons (formal or informal)
- Comfortable working with children; ability to engage students of all ages
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Positive attitude with an outgoing, encouraging teaching style
Formal music degrees are not required. Candidates must have one or more of the following:
- Music degree (completed or in progress)
- Professional performing experience
- Prior teaching experience
If you teach any one of the listed instruments, we’d love to hear from you. Teaching multiple instruments is a bonus, but not required.
