PHARMACY TECHNICIAN

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists in providing quality patient care and ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of medications. This position is based in a hospital pharmacy setting.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Utilize aseptic technique to compound sterile products, including IV infusions
- Maintain inventory levels and assist with medication ordering
- Perform medication reconciliation and assist with medication therapy management
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
- Assist in the maintenance of pharmacy equipment and supplies
- Adhere to all relevant legal, ethical, and professional standards

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician program
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, drug names, and pharmaceutical calculations
- Experience working in an acute care or hospital pharmacy setting is preferred
- Proficient in using pharmacy software systems for prescription processing and inventory management
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
