F&B Cashier

The F&B Cashier greets and seats guests in the restaurant and cashes out customers at the register. Responsible for inputting and delivering to-go orders to guests, answering phone calls in the restaurant, clearing, and bussing tables as needed, and assisting the food servers as needed.

Qualifications:

A minimum of six months’ previous cash-handling and customer service experience in a restaurant setting is preferred. Must be professional and friendly and be able to get along with coworkers and work as a team. Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position. Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently. Working knowledge of Point-of-Sale registers.

Job Duties:

· Excellent customer service skills required.

· Assist Food Servers with drink orders and delivery as needed.

· Ensures that the restaurant maintains excellent service standards to meet and exceed guest expectations.

· Assist with clearing tables and wiping down tables as needed.

· Cleans menus and condiments; ensures condiments are full and in good condition.

· Assists other Front of House employees as needed.

· Quickly and accurately completes sales at the register.

· Adheres to all departmental, health, and safety standards.

· Follows all cash handling procedures, including proper drawer closing.

· Inputs to-go orders and prepares orders for delivery to the guests.

· Answers the phone and transfer calls as needed.

· Ability to work in a high pressure, fast-paced environment.

· Familiar and proficient in the use of a Point-of-Sale register.

· Completes various restaurant cleaning tasks as needed.

Must be able to stand for entire shift. Must be able to work in an environment with smoke and loud background noise. Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 25 pounds on a frequent basis. Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, twist, crouch, squat, lift. Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues.
