Project Manager / Estimator

Located in a 30,000 sq. ft. facility on a five-acre lot, we are a full-service LA City-approved metal fabrication shop with over 20 years of experience in structural and custom fabrication. Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Project Manager/Estimator. This role is ideal for someone who has a blend of experience in project management and estimation within the metal fabrication industry. The successful candidate will oversee structural steel projects from the initial planning stages through to completion, ensuring they meet quality, cost, and time specifications. Additionally, the role involves preparing detailed cost estimates for these projects. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
• Serve as the primary liaison between customers and production teams to ensure clear communication and successful project execution.
• Develop detailed cost estimates for engineering projects, including materials, labor, and time requirements.
• Review structural steel drawings and blueprints to accurately assess project needs and specifications.
• Maintain high standards of safety, organization, and attention to detail throughout all phases of the project.
• Proactively adapt to changes and solve problems quickly and efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an estimator in metal fabrication; 5 years of project management experience preferred.
• Proven ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints.
• Strong multitasking ability to estimate and manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members and clients.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and capable of performing general office tasks.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
• Quick learner with the capability to acquire new skills and adapt to changes.
