Estimator - Commercial Construction

Osman Construction Corporation - Arlington Heights, IL

Why this is the opportunity you've been waiting for

For over 75 years, Osman Construction has built its reputation on delivering excellence in the Chicago metropolitan region. Founded in 1946 as Hope Construction Company and incorporated as Osman Construction Corporation in 1972, the company stands firmly on the principles of respect, integrity, reliability, and excellence.

As an Estimator at Osman Construction, you're not just filling out spreadsheets -- you're joining a team that values quality, teamwork, sustainability, and true industry leadership.

Your impact and what you'll do

Lead take-off, pricing, and bid submissions for commercial general contracting projects -- including retail centers, industrial and warehouse developments, corporate facilities, and more -- through Osman's turnkey service model.

Work closely with preconstruction leaders, project managers, and self-perform trades teams to ensure your estimates reflect real-world cost, schedule, and constructability considerations.

Apply your analytical expertise to cost modeling, subcontractor outreach, value engineering, and strategic use of Osman's self-perform capabilities such as selective demolition, carpentry, and fixturing.

Develop estimates that serve as the foundation for well-executed projects through Osman's strong quality control program.

Integrate safety considerations into cost and schedule assumptions in alignment with Osman's comprehensive Safety & Loss Prevention Program.

What makes Osman Construction different -- and why that matters to you

What we're looking for

  • Experienced Estimator - Proven commercial construction estimating experience within general contracting or construction management.

  • Schedule Awareness - Understanding of scheduling, critical path impacts, and their influence on cost accuracy.
  • Collaborative Approach - Ability to work seamlessly with self-perform trades, preconstruction leaders, and project managers.
  • Quality & Safety Mindset - Commitment to precision estimating and incorporating safety into early project planning.
  • Professional Skills - Strong communication, organization, and a team-oriented approach.

What's in it for you

  • Meaningful Work - A role where your estimates directly shape real projects from concept through construction.
  • Project Variety - Opportunities to contribute to diverse project types across the Chicago region.
  • Craftsmanship Culture - A workplace that respects expertise and values the contributions of every team member.
  • Long-Term Stability - Join a well-established, respected contractor with a strong foundation and steady growth.
  • Professional Growth - Opportunities to expand your skills and advance within a company known for excellence and integrity.
