POSITION SUMMARY
The individual in this role is responsible for coordinating export activities within the realm of freight and logistics. Their primary focus will be on ensuring precision, adhering to timelines, and delivering exceptional services. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and effective collaboration with various stakeholders to streamline and optimize export operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the processing of shipping documents for export orders
• Handle special shipping processes for sales/customers
• Assist in billing for domestic shipments
• Arrange and provide quotes for shipments exceeding LTL thresholds in pallet count and weight
• Liaise with local carriers for pickups and perform other dispatch functions
• Collaborate with internal and external clients to ensure accurate and timely processing of customer orders
• Coordinate with freight vendors to track orders and obtain necessary documents
• Troubleshoot emails related to customer service and freight vendors
• Promote a collaborative work environment, encouraging effective communication and cross-training initiatives to enhance team productivity, versatility, and skill development
• Undertakes additional responsibilities and tasks as directed by management

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, & Skills required)

• Associates’ degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience handling exports for a freight forward company required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook. Infor LN (BAAN) experience a plus
• Exhibits professional experience working collaboratively in a team environment
• Shows the capacity to generate creative solutions
• Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and thoroughness in work
• Displays diligence in completing tasks in a timely manner, utilizing effective time management skills
