Refrigeration Engineer Summary:

Client designs, manufactures, installs, and services Walk-In Environmental Rooms for scientific and industrial applications. We offer a complete line of modular sizes, with standard and custom specifications for the precise control of temperature and humidity-controlled rooms.

Environmental rooms come in standard and custom options and serve the purposes of numerous applications including:

• Pharmaceutical

• Medical Device Development
• Clinical Testing

Refrigeration Engineer Responsibilities:

• Refrigeration system focus: spearhead the development and optimization of mechanical refrigeration systems, applying expertise in thermodynamics, heat transfers and fluid dynamics.
• Must be familiar with different refrigerants, evaporator coil design, condensing coil design, mechanical methods to connect refrigeration system in refrigerated cases.
• Familiar with DOE (Department of Energy) consumption regulations
• Familiar with current and new refrigerants including R134a, R404a, R513a, R448A, R449A, R290 and other new refrigerants.
• Design condensing units to match up with evaporators to meet design conditions.
• Experience with electronic controls, thermostats, Klixons, solenoid valves, expansion valves and other refrigeration components.
• Mechanical system design: lead the design and engineering and mechanical systems for pharmaceutical equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations commas and customer specifications.
• Work closely with cross functional teams, including electrical engineers, process engineers and project managers to ensure seamless integration and mechanical systems into overall equipment design.
• innovation: stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices to drive continuous improvement in innovation in mechanical engineering processes
• Works with vendors on new technologies on refrigeration systems
• Advise the sales team on new and improved products process support for new designs.
• Work cross functionally with assembly teams.

Refrigeration Engineer Requirements:

• 3+ years of Mechanical Refrigeration Design experience
• Clean Room experience and knowledge
• Experience with CAD
