Job Description

We are de-composing semi-monolithic applications into event- and domain-driven services to better support the management of drone image inspection by our large utilities client. Our efforts will help mitigate wildfires by proactively addressing issues with power lines and related equipment. This is a highly visible, highly impactful project-with implications for millions of customers.

As Application Architect, you will provide expertise and leadership in software engineering in cloud, microservices, and desktop environments. You'll also demonstrate thought leadership in software engineering and design patterns to drive efficiency, sustainable software, and agile governance, becoming a trusted advisor to decision-makers.

About the team

The Logic20/20 Digital Transformation team applies design thinking and next-gen technologies to solve our clients' toughest business challenges. You'll work side-by-side with architects, managers, and engineering consultants to gain a 360-degree perspective of the challenge at hand while contributing your unique perspective to develop innovative solutions.

About you

• You're passionate about enabling teams to design solutions that drive business value
• You have experience working closely with business stakeholders, lead engineers, product managers, and analysts, you can design solutions through the full lifecycle, from conception to market
• You're equally comfortable discussing technical concepts with business professionals and business concepts with technical professionals
• You can lead small development teams within a matrixed environment
• You can collaborate with consulting and sales representatives to identify opportunities, develop and pitch solutions based on a business case, and work closely with clients to generate the outcomes
• You're adaptable to frequent change and comfortable making decisions with limited information in dynamic situations

Qualifications

• 8+ years of overall experience as a full-stack developer using Javascript, Typescript, Node.js, React.js, and GraphQL with Apollo
• 3+ years of experience architecting and designing complex applications
• 2+ years of production experience with AWS; especially with technologies such as SQS, SNS, and API Gateway
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and AWS CodePipeline
• Experience delivering architecture documents on solution technical design, application design, integration, non-functional requirements, and deployment approach
• Experience interacting with pursuit team in designing and estimating solutions, software, or services

Work experience in these areas will make your resume stand out

• Image annotation experience
• Experience with Hexagonal, Ports and Adapters, or Clean Architecture
• Experience working within the SAFe methodology

Additional Information

Washington D.C. base compensation range: $200,000 - 210,000, DOE
