Job Summary

StoneTurn is seeking a qualified Consultant of Cyber Investigations, Intelligence, and Response to join our growing Cybersecurity Investigations and Advisory Practice. Our team consists of multi-disciplinary technical experts representing a diverse range of personal and professional backgrounds, including private and public sector experience. From threat intelligence and risk analysis, to detection and response, and expert advisory around emerging regulatory demands and cutting-edge advances in technical solutions, we pride ourselves on being a one-stop shop for the most sophisticated and discerning of clients. As a Cyber Security Consultant, you will assist and have opportunities to lead client engagements as you collaborate with Management and Partners within our growing Cyber Security Practice to deliver coordinated services across a diverse set of cyber security matters including incident response, investigations, threat intelligence, and implementation of cyber security best practices. You will add value to our team and clients by having strong analytical and prioritization skills while leveraging and growing your technical expertise. In addition, bringing your passion for the subject matter, you will have continuous learning opportunities related to cyber threats, cyber attacks, computer intrusions, ransomware, and matters of both corporate and national security significance. This position requires you to be a person with superior interpersonal, communication and technical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a strong aptitude for cyber security matters, including but not limited to, incident response, threat intelligence, data breach scenarios, IP theft, and ransomware with an ability to forensically identify, analyze, and summarize findings
  • Support client and team meetings to document client objectives and requirements, while driving consensus and determining the best solutions
  • Support large investigations, enterprise incident response, and complex threat intelligence engagements
  • Provide clients with insightful guidance and recommendations on cyber security best practices
  • Create client deliverables that clearly articulate and present findings
  • Integrate and cross-market with other StoneTurn service lines to deliver coordinated services within the enforcement, regulatory and litigation environment
  • Demonstrate professionalism and foster a team-oriented culture by exhbiting a positive and cooperative approach
  • Maintain the confidential nature of client relationships and work product
  • Assist the Cyber Security management and leaders to grow the practice, including assisting with identification and execution of business development, recruitment and strategic activities

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, cyber security / digital forensics. Candidates with degrees within political science and national security will also be considered
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Excellent prioritization skills
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, prioritization and communication skills
  • Flexibility with the potential travel requirements related to client engagements and firm matters

Desirable qualifications

  • Experience in threat detection, response and remediation platforms
  • Understanding of endpoint, network and cloud security technologies
  • Understanding of the security assessment lifecycle (systems, processes, applications, cloud)
  • Participation in cyber defense or hacking competitions
  • Professional work experience is not required, but prior relevant experiences (i.e., internships, co-ops) are strongly preferred
