Job Description
Salary: DOE

Coastal Construction in Miami Florida is looking for an experienced and versatile Benefits Manger to assist their Human Resources team in providing benefits and wellness programs to all employees within the company.  This is a managerial level position and requires in depth knowledge of Benefits, Administration, Wellness Programs, and Human Resources.  


Benefits Manager Job Responsibilities: 

  • Recommends benefits programs to management by studying employee requirements, trends, and developments in benefits offered by other organizations
  • Supports management’s decision-making process by analyzing benefit options and predicting future costs
  • Identifies benefit options by studying programs and obtaining advice from consultants, vendors, and brokers
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing laws and regulations and updates to legal requirements
  • Must be able to resolve employee questions and problems by interpreting benefit policies and procedures
  • Prepares benefits reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing results as directed by leadership

 

  • Oversees relationships with benefit providers, assists with negotiating contracts, and ensures the services meet the needs of employees
  •  Plans and executes annual open enrollment periods, including communication strategies, employee education sessions, and enrollment system management
  •  Handles escalated issues related to benefit claims, works with insurance carriers and third-party administrators to resolve disputes or discrepancies
  •  Coordinates and manages employee wellness initiatives to enhance physical and mental well-being. This includes planning and implementing programs, tracking participation, and collaborating with internal and external partners to support employee health goals.
  •  Oversees the administration of PTO policies and procedures, including accruals, usage tracking, and approval processes
  •  Manages FMLA requests and other leave arrangements, ensuring adherence to regulations and assists employees throughout the process
  • Processes and completes verification of employment requests in a timely and accurate manner, maintains confidentiality and ensures compliance with company policies and legal requirements


Work Hours

This position is full time/ hybrid Monday through Friday. Once trained you will be given the option to work in the office three days per week and at home two days per week. 

The role is a management level position and requires a dedicated individual at the helm that is versatile, flexible, and available to assist the team whenever called upon.

Benefits Manager Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficient in HRIS systems
  • Extensive knowledge of compensation, wellness programs, and benefits packages
  • Experience in MS Office, Google Drive. MS Outlook, MS Teams, and Navigator
  • Work with leadership on multiple projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of all Federal and State laws and regulations
  • Experience with and knowledge of benefits contract language
  • Ability to be flexible, multitask, and use excellent judgement in all situations

 


Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business or an HR equivalent combination of education and experience. 10 plus years of expertise is preferred.
