Chunky and Bop’s Philadelphia Cheesesteaks and Hoagies Location 4501 Woodberry St. Riverdale Park, MD 20737 Function Food Service/ Short Order Chef Hours Full time Pay: $16.50hr. Experienced Chef/ Food Service Worker Duties • Performs a variety of tasks having several steps or a sequence of tasks that requires attention to work operations in a kitchen and dining area. Follows established procedures and food safety guidelines. • Primary duties include taking orders, meal preparation, meat carving, and adapting to the current technology used to operate the establishment, and all other restaurant related duties. • Receives specific training from the supervisory chef and will be evaluated based on demonstrated skill. Conditions of Employment • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. • A one-year probationary period may be required. • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification check. • Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 90 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually. • May be subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a medical examination. • Frequently lifts and moves items weighing up to 40 pounds. Requires constant standing, stooping, bending, walking reaching and cleaning after each shift. • Shifts include early mornings, days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Qualifications: 1. Ability to follow oral and written instructions and possess basic math skills. 2. Experience as a Short Order Chef /Food Service Worker. This is a full-time position looking to fill ASAP. This position is eligible to receive gratuities (tips) based on the type of event(s) and performance. Education This job does not have an education qualification requirement.
