Daycare Director at JABBERS1

Jabbers is a 5,000 Sq/ft indoor play place and we’ve decided to add a daycare to our facility.  The position begins with overseeing our 10 week Summer Camp, with an exciting opportunity to develop our daycare service full time. Position begins May 27th.

Job Description 

Jabber’s Daycare Director will have two main functions, to run the daycare program and to assist in developing it to be full time. The position will be overseeing care for the children in the program Monday through Friday, managing parents relations, and developing daily schedules and activities.  In addition, the position will continue to work with the CEO to help grow the program. Program currently only services ages 3-8years of age, potty trained only, 12 slot program.

Responsibilities 

• Setting up for the day/ checking in children upon arrival
• Developing structure and activities for children in the program
• Organizing daycare room and supplies
• Overseeing the children in the daycare Monday- Friday
• Organize meals and snack time
• Keeping records of each child’s progress, interests and any problems that may occur
• Managing additional daycare helpers  
• Strategize a growth model to increase enrollment 
• Manage parent relations 
• Give tours of daycare

• Ability to analyze behavior, anticipate potential issues, and address effectively
• Caring and compassionate attitude when interacting with and caring for children
• Strong verbal communication and listening skills to converse with children, fellow professional caregivers and parents or guardians
• Excellent patience and stamina for keeping up with the demands of children of all ages
• Advanced multitasking and organizational skills to handle multiple children at a time

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays and Saturdays. Compensation is $16.00 - $18.00/hour.
