Automotive Lab Instructor

Location: Lehi, UT

Status: Part-time

Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

Pay / Hourly: $25.72

SUMMARY

As the Automotive Lab Instructor, you will assist the classroom instructor in preparing automotive technology students for employment as automotive technicians. You will provide the hands-on instruction necessary for students to attain ASE certification. Come enjoy the rewards of helping our students succeed!

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Supervision of lab work with emphasis that all safety practices are followed
• Performs spot checks and corrects, guides, and facilitates that proper industry practices and procedures are being followed at all times while students are working in the shop
• Maintains shop hand tool storage and tool maintenance
• Ensures student success by being proactive and self-motivated to help keep the program running smoothly

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma or equivalent is required
• ASE Certification in course to be taught OR 5 years’ experience in industry as a technician with expectation to become ASE certified in each course taught with one year of hire.
