Order Management Specialist

Immediately hiring an Order Management Specialist for a well-known and highly reputable advanced manufacturing company. Conveniently located in Tarrytown, this is a permanent, direct hire opportunity with a hybrid schedule. 2 days remote, 3 in office. The Order Management Specialist is responsible for providing superior customer service and account management towards new and existing clients. Effective communication skills and database management skills are essential to be successful. Qualifications

• College degree preferred
• A minimum of two years of experience working in corporate customer service, order management, or account management
• Experience using an ERP system such as JD Edwards or SAP 
• A positive attitude and a "happy to help" mentality towards customers 

Responsibilities

• Serve external and internal customers by receiving and processing orders and maintaining accurate information in JD Edwards.
• Provide product related as well as order-related documentation
• Interact with Field Sales and other internal resources to ensure all customer orders, inquiries and issues are handled accurately and timely
• Follow up daily on open orders to ensure on-time delivery - communicate order status with customers and Field Sales, advising of any delivery or schedule changes
• Quickly resolve all customer complaints and requests for service, assuring the customer’s problem is rectified promptly and satisfactorily
• Initiate action to resolve any price discrepancies and investigate short payments
• Process material returns and carrier claims when needed
