Position Title: Carrier Account Executive - Tower Leases

$82,500 to $137,500 annually, plus target commission of $65,000 annually

Job Summary
The Carrier Account Executive, Tower leases is responsible for brand new vertical for Ziply Fiber, to monetize our tower assets to lease space for cell sites to wireless carriers. We seek candidates who are proactive, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The Carrier Account Executive must possess a strong knowledge of the telecommunications business and specifically the tower & telecom infrastructure vertical, be enthusiastically committed to growing clients relationships. This role is perfect for someone with a proven track record in the cell site tower & small cell business, and who also wants to be a constantly challenged in pursuit of growing in their craft. Excellent customer relationship skills are critical, as is the ability to exercise good judgment, be self-motivated and work both independently and as part of a team. This position reports directly to the VP of Wholesale.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities listed below are a range of duties performed by the employee

  • Handles new sales quotes that are not served through automation, including formulating
    contracts, quotations and pricing, product research, customer relations, follow-up, coordinating
    due dates, placing service orders, and managing and communicating test and turn up of circuits,
    etc.
  • Markets and sells to wireless service providers new leasing opportunities, build-to-suit, as well as any other real estate telecom site related opportunities
  • Develops and maintains relationships with buyers within our Carrier customers including transport
    engineers, Access managers and other departments seeking wholesale services and their
    leadership.
  • Review, red-line and negotiate contracts.
  • Responsible for working with operations to ensure accurate order processing and delivery.
  • Responsible for market, find and handle collocation applications from start to finish.
  • Potentially identify and develop new tower-build sites.
  • Handles a wide variety of customer support, including resolving billing issues, managing
    customer inquiries, customer turn-up, and general customer satisfaction and relations.
  • Leads, identifies, and manages internal communications needs, disseminates information
    regarding relevant activities and obtains appropriate corporate approvals.
  • Works with sales management, product management, IT, regulatory, corporate marketing, and
    other inter-departmental stakeholders, by managing resources and timeframes required to
    complete and recommend customer solutions, requirements, pricing, and implementation.
  • Ensures effective communications are maintained within areas of responsibility.
  • Where appropriate, informs employees as to plans in progress.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure effective operation of the company.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5+ years selling cell site leases in the tower vertical.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or University or equivalent work experience.
  • Must be able to demonstrate business to business telecom sales record at a high level of
    achievement.
  • Extensive knowledge about the process of wireless carriers leasing space for a cell site.
  • Experience of providing rooftop space (and other non-tower real estate solutions) for a cell site lease.
  • Knowledge of site acquisition, site development, site construction and zoning is a plus.
  • Existing contacts at the relevant potential customers is a plus.
  • Experience of Managed Solutions in the real estate space – especially with the large national wireless carriers.
  • Experience managing a full sales cycle from prospecting through closing.
  • Established business development, negotiation and commercial sales experience.
  • Experience developing and maintaining business, sales, & account plans as well as negotiating &
    closing complex deals.
  • Experience selling and managing accounts that have C-Level interaction where cultivating larger,
    strategic relationships are key.

  • Capacity to work on cross-functional projects and teams and leverage internal resources to
    problem-solve.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce.com.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Must have reliable transportation and willing to travel as needed.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and satisfactory driving record.

  • Demonstrated ability to meet sales quotas consistently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to drive on behalf of the company in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Excellent customer relationship skills.

Work Environment
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a
computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work is primarily a modern office
setting.
