Job description

We are partnering with a growing third-party logistics provider to hire an experienced Carrier Sales Representative. This role is focused on building and managing carrier relationships while securing capacity across a variety of freight lanes. The ideal candidate has a strong background in 3PL carrier sales, thrives on relationship building, and knows how to source capacity in a fast-paced brokerage environment.

This position offers a competitive base salary plus uncapped commission and the opportunity to help grow a high-performing carrier network.

What You'll Do

  • Source and develop relationships with asset-based carriers for contractual and spot freight
  • Negotiate rates and long-term pricing agreements
  • Build strategic carrier partnerships to support customer freight needs
  • Secure capacity across multiple modes, commodities, and geographic regions
  • Work closely with internal sales and operations teams to ensure successful freight execution
  • Track shipments and communicate updates throughout the shipment lifecycle
  • Maintain accurate activity and carrier information within the TMS and CRM
  • Analyze lanes and market trends to identify opportunities for improved coverage and profitability
  • Support bid activity and carrier pricing during customer RFPs
  • Deliver exceptional service to both internal teams and carrier partners

What We're Looking For:

  • 2+ years of Carrier Sales experience within a 3PL brokerage environment
  • Proven success sourcing carrier capacity and developing long-term carrier relationships
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Hunter mentality with the ability to build a network from the ground up
  • Experience working with transportation management systems (TMS) and CRM platforms
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
