SCOPE AND PURPOSE: Maintain a clean and safe construction site, install protection as needed and report to the Superintendents.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include, but are not limited to the following, as other duties may be assigned.
JOB SITE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Remove debris, keep construction site floors, and other surfaces clean (depending on floor type: vacuum/mop/ or use clean sweep on concrete), install poly barrier for dust control, lay carpet mask to protect the carpet from damage, small repairs, touch up paint, prepare bathrooms/kitchen areas for final clean up crews, moving of furniture, loading and unloading of materials, and a general knowledge of construction materials, methods and trades.
- Organize tools and materials on job site and storage.
- Aid superintendents through meeting subcontractors, assisting to gain entrance to suites or buildings, including off-hours, and assisting in the protection of work areas.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Working knowledge and safe operation capability of all power tools.
- An automobile or truck is required.
- Ability to communicate in a positive and professional manner with building managers, engineers, tenants, subcontractors, and DEB employees as well as maintain consistent communication with supervisors
- Project a professional image by meeting DEB dress code standards — shirts provided
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Requires frequent walking, lifting, bending, standing, reaching and the ability to ascend/descend stairs and driving.
