Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Panel Saw Operator to join our team. The Panel Saw Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining panel saw machinery to cut various materials such as wood and composite panels according to specified dimensions and requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of woodworking principles, safety protocols, and the ability to produce high-quality cuts efficiently.


Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate panel saw machinery to cut materials accurately and efficiently.
• Interpret work orders, blueprints, and diagrams to determine cutting specifications.
• Select appropriate cutting tools and adjust machine settings for optimal performance.
• Inspect materials for defects or irregularities before cutting and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality.
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to maintain proper cutting speed and accuracy.
• Perform routine maintenance on panel saw machinery, including blade changes, lubrication, and cleaning.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper disposal of waste materials.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Assist in the assembly, production, and packaging of goods
• Handle and move materials within the facility
• Assist in other manufacturing-related tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• Vocational training or certification in woodworking, carpentry, or a related field.
• Prior experience operating panel saw machinery.
• Knowledge of different types of materials and their cutting properties.
• Familiarity with computer numerical control (CNC) systems is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects
• Forklift training and certification is a plus
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to learn and take on new tasks
