ELECTRICAL CONTROL PANEL TECHNICIAN
Monday - Thursday
6:00 am - 4:00 pm
$18.00 per hour
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Control Panel Technician to join a growing manufacturing team in Waxahachie, TX. This position is responsible for the mechanical and electrical assembly of custom electrical control panels used in commercial refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate will have experience interpreting electrical schematics, assembling components, and ensuring high-quality, code-compliant workmanship. This role reports directly to the Production Supervisor and plays a key part in delivering reliable, high-performance systems.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Mechanically and electrically assemble custom electrical control panels
  • Read, interpret, and follow electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and assembly instructions
  • Lay out and mount electrical components within control panels
  • Wire panel components using schematics and wire lists
  • Install and wire electrical panels onto refrigeration units as required
  • Route, bundle, and secure wiring according to established electrical standards
  • Maintain working knowledge of applicable electrical standards (NEMA, NEC, UL, IEC)
  • Inspect and test completed assemblies to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met
  • Document and redline any manufacturing changes and submit updates to supervisor
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Assist with team training, employee development, and continuous improvement initiatives as needed
JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 3 years of electrical assembly and wiring experience preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
  • Working knowledge of electrical codes and standards (NEMA, NEC, UL, IEC)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing error-free work
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing 50 lbs. or more
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
