We are currently searching for an experienced Accountant – Process Improvement and Financial System Support to support our Accounting department located in Mobile, AL.

What you’ll be doing:

Process Improvement:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and monitor process enhancements
  • Continuously review workflow and suggest changes to enhance productivity and accuracy
  • Evaluate existing financial processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains

Financial System Support:

  • Provide technical support for financial systems, including troubleshooting issues and resolving user inquiries
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure seamless integration and functioning of financial systems
  • Facilitate training sessions for staff to enhance their proficiency in using financial software

Financial Analysis:

  • Prepare financial analyses to aid in decision-making processes

Compliance and Audit:

  • Assist with financial audits and ensure compliance with relevant accounting principles and regulations
  • Support the maintenance of proper internal controls to safeguard financial data and transactions

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Collaborate with the finance team to participate in the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Assist in creating financial models and projections to support business planning

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, or a related field
  • Entry level experience in accounting/audit, financial analysis, and process improvement within a corporate environment
  • Proficiency in financial systems and software (e.g., Deltek Vantagepoint, Concur, Power BI, etc.) with a strong ability to troubleshoot and support users
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service
  • Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities
  • Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks with deadlines
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and reporting standards.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
