Asphalt Raker / Laborer

Job Description:

As an Asphalt Laborer/Raker, you will play a crucial role in our asphalt paving and maintenance operations. Working as part of a skilled team, you will assist in various tasks related to the installation, repair, and maintenance of asphalt surfaces. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Assisting in the preparation of work sites by clearing debris and ensuring proper drainage.
• Operating hand tools and power equipment to spread, compact, and smooth asphalt surfaces.
• Assisting in the installation of asphalt using shovels, rakes, and other hand tools.
• Repairing damaged asphalt surfaces by filling cracks and potholes.
• Directing traffic and ensuring the safety of crew members and the public in work zones.
• Following all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.

Requirements:

• Prior experience working in asphalt paving or construction preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks in various weather conditions, including lifting heavy objects and working in hot temperatures.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions from supervisors and experienced crew members.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from job sites.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to all safety guidelines and regulations.
