DRYCO Construction, Inc., is looking for a ASPHALT MANAGER/SUPERINDENT to join our team. DRYCO Construction, Inc., is a leader in the commercial pavement maintenance industry for over 30 years. DRYCO is seeking an experienced and professional asphalt superintendent to manage growth in 2025 and beyond in the San Francisco Bay Area & the Sacramento Central Valley. You will:

  • Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on asphalt operations, providing technical guidance and coordinating with other departments or agencies as needed.
  • We're looking for an experienced professional with the technical & organizational skills experience to lead and manage a team, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standards required for the job, but also, for someone who will contribute to our Company Culture which thrives on the acronym: TOFIT - Teamwork, Open Communication, Fun, Integrity, and Trust.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include the Following:

  • Safe Practices - Runs a safe, clean jobsite, includes daily safety meetings and assuring that all personnel are properly trained.
  • Project Schedule - Implements and manages.
  • Material Ordering - Orders and coordinates deliveries of materials.
  • Manpower - Efficiently schedules manpower.
  • Management Skills – Effectively manage, mentor & guide your crew
  • Budgets - Implements and manages construction budgets.
  • Daily Reports - Generates and reviews.
  • Supervises employees, subcontractors and vendors to ensure both quality control and project compliance.
  • Assists Project Managers in formulating construction schedule and maintaining construction schedule throughout the project from start to finish.
  • Assists Project Manager with bidding, scope of work, pricing and change orders and verification of costs.
  • Schedules and directs all inspections with city officials, government agencies and private agencies as required.
  • Must have the ability to prioritize numerous tasks and projects with multiple and shifting deadlines.
  • Resolves problems as they arise regarding plans or specifications, conflicts with the architect, engineer, clients and subcontractors and documents all corrections, changes, and requests.
  • Produces and submits the following documents accurately, as per the designated time frame: As Built, RFI's & RFI Logs, Incident Reports, Safety Meeting Forms, Jobsite Photos.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 15 years overall construction experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of superintendent experience.
  • High school diploma or general education degree.
  • Strong coordination, time management, active listening and communication, critical thinking and reasoning skills.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Works and MS Excel).
  • Strong organizational skills.

Compensation: Base Salary, Discretionary Bonus, plus a rich Benefit Package

Signing Bonus Available: $10,000

Pay: $120K to $160K Depending on experience
