Asphalt Paving Foreman (Working Lead)

Asphalt Contractors, Inc. | Union Grove, Wisconsin

Asphalt Contractors, Inc. is seeking an experienced Asphalt Paving Foreman to supervise and work alongside a paving crew on commercial, municipal, and roadway projects throughout Southeastern Wisconsin.

This role is best suited for a hands-on leader who enjoys being actively involved in the work while directing field operations, coordinating crews, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.

In addition to construction operations, we produce our own asphalt and aggregate materials, allowing us to maintain quality and consistency across our projects.

Responsibilities
  • Lead daily paving crew operations on roads, parking lots, subdivisions, and commercial paving projects
  • Operate and assist with paving equipment including rollers, pavers, skid steers, and other heavy equipment
  • Coordinate truck timing and asphalt delivery flow to maintain production efficiency
  • Review project plans, layouts, and paving specifications
  • Monitor mat quality, joint construction, rolling patterns, and overall workmanship
  • Communicate with project managers, plant personnel, subcontractors, and inspectors throughout the project
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment in compliance with company policies and OSHA requirements
  • Assist with training and mentoring crew members
  • Help identify equipment or production issues and work toward timely solutions
Qualifications
  • Prior asphalt paving foreman or crew leadership experience required
  • Strong knowledge of asphalt paving operations and production processes
  • Experience operating paving and compacting equipment
  • Ability to manage crews and maintain jobsite productivity
  • Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • CDL preferred but not required
  • Dependable attendance and strong communication skills
