Class A CDL Lowboy Driver

Smith Paving is hiring for Class A lowboy truck drivers. We are a family-run asphalt paving company that prides ourselves in prompt, quality work.

Responsibilities

• Transport equipment to and from job sites.
• Chaining and unchaining equipment/loads.
• Take care of truck and trailer.
• Keep truck and trailer clean and orderly.
• Perform pre and post trip inspections.
• Conduct general maintenance and housekeeping to maintain truck/trailer.
• Wear vest/hard hat on required jobs when out of truck.

Requirements

• Must have clean driving record.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Must be on time.
• Must be willing to work overtime when needed.
• Ability to work some Saturdays when needed.
• Good physical condition, able to climb in and out of equipment/truck.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Must be knowledgable of and abide by all DOT rules and regulations.
• Must be able to receive instruction and direction from supervisors.
• Ability to cooperate with co-workers and contribute to the team.
• Must have a thorough understanding of local/regional roads and direction.

Ability to haul material in dump trucks/triaxles if needed preferred.

Ability to load/unload equipment individually preferred.
