Position Summary: Provide virtual outpatient psychiatric evaluation and medication management services at Wellness Beyond the Chair (WBTC).

Wellness Beyond the Chair professionals provide services that intentionally focus on helping clients improve their mental health symptoms, engage in healthy interpersonal relationships.

We specialize in curating a safe space for clients experiencing psychological concerns as a result of trauma (PTSD), mood disorders (depression, anxiety, bipolar), and chronic pain/illness while also curating a safe space for clients navigating LGBTQIA concerns.

As we continue to grow and expand our mission at Wellness Beyond the Chair to provide comprehensive and empathetic mental health care, we are actively seeking passionate and dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP) to join our innovative team. Job Requirements and Qualifications: 
• Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Nursing with focus on Psychiatric nursing
• Graduation from a state-certified advance practice program specializing in psychiatry/mental health

Minimum Required Experience:
• At least 1 year providing direct client care to persons receiving treatment for psychiatric disorders
• Ability to work with both adult and youth/child populations

Preferred Experience:
• 3+ years of experience as a psychiatric provider
• 1-2 years of experience providing telemedicine

Licenses/Certifications:
• Must be certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in Psychiatric Mental Health (PMH) as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
• An unrestricted license to practice as an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) in the state of Missouri
• Maintain credentials and licensure with all major insurance companies and licensing boards with the assistance of WBTC credentialing staff.

Preferred Licenses/Certifications:
• Valid DEA number and unrestricted DEA license in Missouri

Role Expectations:

• Comprehensive Patient Care: Assess, diagnose, and treat individuals across the lifespan experiencing symptoms of behavioral health disorders.
• Medication Management: Prescribe, recommend, or discontinue pharmacological treatments in compliance with collaborative practice agreements and state regulations.
• Virtual Client-Centered Services: Deliver high-quality care through telehealth, ensuring patient comfort and accessibility.
• Independent EHR Management: Efficiently navigate and document within our electronic health records system post-training, ensuring accurate service billing in line with legal and regulatory standards.
• Confidentiality and Professionalism: Uphold the highest standards of client confidentiality and professional conduct in all interactions.
• Collaborative Team Communication: Work seamlessly with Wellness Beyond the Chair team members, demonstrating exceptional interpersonal skills and discretion.
• Technical Proficiency: Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and other necessary technologies to enhance patient care and team collaboration.
• Organizational Excellence: Exhibit outstanding organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and make informed, independent decisions.
• Commitment to Patient Engagement: Maintain a minimum of 20 patient sessions per week, with adequate time allocated for documentation and other responsibilities.
• Timely Medical Documentation: Ensure the completion of medical records, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and billing entries, is both timely and accurate.
• Supervisory Responsibilities: None
