Wanco Inc. is seeking a full-time production engineering technician to work onsite in our Arvada, CO office to support production engineering technician responsibilities. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented person who will be able to function independently while demonstrating the ability to prioritize, problem solve and communicate effectively. Wanco is looking for a team member who is an energetic, organized team member, with strong people skills.

Summary

The primary role of the production engineering technician will be working with the production engineering team to support production continuity through engineering change release efficacy. Supporting updates and corrections to engineering data in ERP and EPDM systems. Building and testing product design releases, or upgrades. Facilitating new design adoption to production lines.

Must have experience working in ERP, strong mechanical skills, strong leadership skills, ability to remain productive and solution focused even while in stressful situations, ability to document production procedures, ability to investigate issues related to processes and product design, ability to test and implement engineering department solutions.

Job Duties

· ERP system data and production entry

· Mechanical assembly experience and ability to use tools

· Work with production when releasing updated designs to the production line

· Investigate, test, and implement engineering provided solutions

· Process and work instruction creation

· Correct part, BOM and process routing information for accuracy, or reporting

· Monitor and support production delays, or dilemma’s

· Deploy work station layouts per engineering and quality expectations

· Support engineering in building and testing prototypes

· Provide feedback to engineering for reported build and functional complications caused by design

· Participate in completing Production Engineering support tickets

· Help implement lean manufacturing ideologies through system and process improvements

· Assist in training as needed

Required Skills

· Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

· ERP and Data Management experience

· Ability to define and document office procedures

· Proactive approach to problem resolution and ability to multi-task

· Very comfortable using technology, especially MS Word, Excel, and web-based applications

· Be able to navigate multiple department processes and data

· Sound research skills

· Confident, articulate, and detail oriented

· Patience when handling challenging problems

· Ability to self-train and be able to substantiate system solutions

· Can-do attitude!

· Experience at a contract manufacturer and working with device design and building a major plus

Work Experience

· Wage dependent on experience

 

Physical Requirements:

· Mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer

· Mobility to work on manufacturing floor setting using standard hand, electric, and pneumatic tools

· Some travel may be required
