Production Engineering Technician

Albin Engineering Services, Inc. is looking for a Production Engineering Technician for one of our premier clients in the R&D, Research and Development DoD, Department of Defense industry. As our employee, you qualify for our full benefit package. This role is very long-term and will start out with a contract (full benefits included); very-very high probability of going to direct-hire. You don't need a security clearance to start, just the ability to get one, at some point after you start. Clearance Level: DoD-Secret.

Only US Citizens need apply; as access to US Government work required. This role is 100% on-site, in Palo Alto, CA, in the lab. This client is into advanced high-tech materials; they were founded to commercialize a newly discovered technology/material. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Production Engineering Technician to help in our efforts to produce molds, parts, and processes to further the delivery of high-quality parts to our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with engineers and scientists to ensure required molds, test fixtures, production tooling, and the end-products are designed/produced properly
  • Communicate back any issues to engineers and scientists so corrective action can be taken
  • Part inspection will be a major responsibility in this role
  • Follow procedures for the production of molds and associated parts
  • Follow necessary processes to insure we have high quality parts to deliver to our customers
  • Maintain a cohesive data flow of part metrics to tracking data bases
  • Assist to increase production capabilities and reduce lead time

Qualifications:

  • General understanding of mechanical systems
  • Having an attention to detail is very critical to this position
  • The ability to communicate clearly both written and verbal
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as know when to step in as supporting member on a team
  • Learn to be responsible for ensuring needed tools are working properly

Salary range: $55k-$70k
