Inventory Specialist - Production

Cornerstone Staffing is assisting in finding an Inventory Specialist for a large paper company. The inventory clerk is a professional responsible for checking shipments going in and out of the company and ensuring that all orders are delivered correctly. They must also report any issues with inventory management systems. The inventory control clerk is organized and detail-oriented and tracks inventory and stock changes. Must have good computer skills including Excel.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Enter data for quantities of various items in warehouse issued and transferred between locations, inventory and cycle count adjustments into computer database.
• Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies with supervisors and management.
• Use of computer skills and knowledge to implement appropriate systems
• Completes inventory control processes and helps count, examine, move, order, and dispose of stock needed.
• Develop, update, and distribute monthly reporting to Logistics Manager
• Will work with clients who have complaints, orders, or require information about products or services purchased from the organization
• May be required to present findings in managerial meetings, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Effective communication and presentation skills to all levels of the organization
• Previous inventory experience required
• Able to analyze information gathered in order to identify potential problems or discrepancies.
• Ability to properly handle confidential information and records.
• PC and Computer applications
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office
• Strong collaboration, interpersonal and relationship building skills
• Forklift is a plus!

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Bend and lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
• Lift up to 70lbs with assistance on an occasional basis
• Stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls
• A self-starter that can work independently and coordinate with others
• Work in a fast pace environment with the ability to manage stress and productivity guidelines
RATE: $22/hr. temp to hire! ($24+ DOE when perm!)
