Summary:

The Security Manager oversees the security operations of the organization. This role sets overall security strategy and security architecture development and provides functional oversight to security operations. The Security Manager develops, implements, and oversees physical security plans, policies, procedures, and operations for on-site corporate facilities and operations. This position requires the individual to be armed and therefore must possess and maintain a current Arizona Concealed Carry Permit.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Physical Security Team with a focus develop, retain, and mentor the best team and talent
  • Not only lead, but be part of the team as an armed security resource
  • Conduct Security vulnerability assessments and audits, suggest improvements and implement the necessary changes
  • Oversee the continuous monitoring and protection of facilities, and personnel
  • Evaluate suspected security breaches, recommend corrective actions (including incidents involving outside vendors), and lead the implementation of the corrections
  • Drive development and delivery of relatable security awareness programs for employees
  • Recommend new security Technology/Gear, and oversee security system installation projects and manage vendor performance against expected service level standards
  • Manage the ongoing development and administration of emergency/crisis management and preparedness plans, procedures, training and activities
  • Investigate and resolve issues, review reports on incidents and breaches and create reports for management on security status involving loss events, potential workplace violence incidents and other violations of security and workplace policies
  • Develop, implement, and improve security policies, protocols, and procedures
  • Attend meetings with other managers to determine operational needs, plan, and coordinate security operations for specific events
  • Leads company emergency response trainings
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements

Key Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience as security manager or similar position
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred; relevant work experience considered toward education requirement
  • Experience working with other law enforcement agencies is preferred
  • Experience with less-than-lethal weapon systems is an asset
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to monitor surveillance systems and respond to emergency situations
  • Experience in reporting and emergency response planning
  • Strong knowledge of security protocols and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and meeting deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and customer contact skills
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrates computer skills and aptitude; Microsoft Office preferred
  • Effectively sets priorities
  • Remain calm in quickly evolving and stressful situations
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and diligence
  • Work well independently and has strong project management skills
  • Ability to track and report on opportunities for improvement and success
  • Listening effectively when others are speaking
  • Credible, responsive team-player
  • Ability to perform and retain various skill-related tasks, training, and operations
