Event Manager

The Event Manager helps identify the annual event plan that will meet client objectives and manages event production from concept through completion. The ideal candidate is passionate, creative, detail-oriented, and dedicated to creating educational and experiential events. This role demands an expert in all aspects of event, meeting, and conference planning, including budget development and management, booth design and development, show logistics, experiential technology and vendor management. This person must also have excellent leadership skills and an ability to manage internal teams and external vendors to bring together a final exceptional experience. The best candidate is an event manager who can manage the daily details and use big-picture thinking to ensure truly unique experiences.

Responsibilities

• Organize corporate or private events for our clients including conferences and tradeshows
• Works with clients to understand conference objectives
• Researches events that meet client objectives including options for exhibition, sponsorship and speaking opportunities
• Works with marketing and creative teams to develop event concept & marketing plan surrounding events.
• Works with marketing and creative teams to develop all assets required to execute event concept
• Develops event KPI's and goals for each event and measure success.
• Develops and maintains partnerships with vendors (I.e. tradeshow companies, caterers, photographers); negotiates vendor contracts
• Oversees the event set-up, at-show experience and event breakdown
• Coordinates all aspects of the event from show forms and booth construction to hospitality and equipment
• Develops and manages annual event budget
• Attends and monitor activities at each event to ensure client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing or a related field
• 2-3 years' experience in a senior role in Event Management
• 5 years or more of progressive event management experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Demonstrated ability to effectively work with a broad and diverse team
• High energy - Service oriented style with professional presentations skills
