Responsibilities:

1. Provide CAD drafting and design support for engineers, architects, surveyors, and land planners to produce design drawings for various development projects.

1. Deliver exceptional customer service by promptly responding to client inquiries and requests.

1. Organize information and create final construction drawing packages for project deliverables.

1. Ensure that design deliverables comply with municipal codes and requirements.

1. Implement quality control review processes to ensure accuracy and quality of work.

1. Act as a client advocate, facilitating efficient navigation of municipality approval processes.

1. Build relationships with project managers and professional engineers to collaborate on project planning and problem-solving.

1. Coordinate with stakeholders involved in the development process through clear and concise communication.

1. Perform administrative tasks as required, such as copying plans and preparing submittals.

1. Participate in department goal setting, book reviews, and personal/team development activities.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities: The Civil CAD Drafter will primarily focus on site civil design, including master developments with subdivisions, single-family homes, townhomes, apartment complexes, and commercial developments. This involves coordinating with various stakeholders, including city members, contractors, engineers, architects, and more, to ensure project success. The drafter will also design pipe networks for water, sewer, and rainfall drainage, adhering to city, county, and district requirements.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma is required.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bluebeam, and Adobe Acrobat is preferred.
