JOB SUMMARY

The Civil Engineering Drafter is responsible for generating drawings and exhibits crucial to the design of civil engineering projects such as bridges, highways, stormdrain, and pipelines. This role involves utilizing computer software to design and calculate. This position collaborates closely with technical teams and participates in construction and production tasks.

INTER-RELATIONSHIPS

Employees, Managers, and Supervisors throughout the corporation.

MAJOR TASKS

  • Perform design calculations.
  • Assist and prepare reports, maps, exhibits, and plans.
  • Potentially conducts on-site visits for project assessment.
  • Utilize computer-aided design software to generate designs.
  • Effectively communicate designs to construction and production teams.

JOB SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Familiar with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to learn and understand fundamental principles and design methodologies of various basic civil engineering aspects, including but not limited to drainage, pipe hydraulics, stormwater management, roadway and pavement layout, grading, earthwork calculations, water and wastewater systems, erosion control, etc.
  • Detail-oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team play, self-starter.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently as necessary.
  • Strong work ethic, adeptness in interpersonal communication and writing, and a strong enthusiasm for continuous learning.
  • Proficiency in both independent and collaborative work settings.
