Job Summary

The Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) Instructor is responsible for providing high-quality instruction in drafting, design, and computer-aided design technologies.

Job Duties:

Teach courses in Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD), including 2D and 3D design applications.
Provide instruction in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, Inventor, Civil 3D, or similar programs.
Develop and/or follow established course syllabi, lesson plans, and instructional materials
Assess student learning through assignments, exams, and practical evaluations
Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress
Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper use of equipment
Participate in departmental meetings and training as required

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Architecture, Manufacturing Technology, or a closely related field. Minimum of three (3) years of industry experience utilizing CAD software. The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge, experience, or evidence of a commitment to inclusivity and excellence in teaching methodologies that effectively engage our diverse student population. The candidate should have experience with instructional technologies, including presentation software and learning management systems (i.e., Blackboard). Candidates should also demonstrate proficiency with technology and written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
