Drafting Support for Specialized Construction Projects

FullTerra performs environmental mitigation work on active construction sites, specializing in radon mitigation and vapor intrusion systems. We support commercial and residential construction projects with technical solutions that require accuracy, coordination, and strong attention to detail.

We are seeking a CAD Drafter to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing, updating, and maintaining technical drawings for construction and environmental mitigation projects. The CAD Drafter will work closely with project managers, field teams, engineers, and operations staff to create accurate drawings that support installation, planning, permitting, and project documentation.

This is a strong opportunity for someone with drafting experience who understands construction drawings, can manage details carefully, and wants to grow with a company doing specialized work in a growing industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and revise CAD drawings for radon mitigation, vapor intrusion, and related construction system
  • Create layouts, details, as-builts, and project drawings based on field information, plans, and project direction
  • Read and interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, and construction drawings
  • Coordinate with project managers and field teams to confirm drawing requirements and project details
  • Update drawings based on redlines, field changes, and project revisions
  • Maintain organized drawing files, templates, and project documentation
  • Assist with permit drawings, submittals, and closeout documentation as needed
  • Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and consistency before submission
  • Communicate professionally with internal team members, clients, engineers, and contractors as needed
  • Support multiple projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards
  • Follow company drafting standards, project requirements, and applicable construction documentation practices
  • Help review contractor submittals and Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Review submittals, drawing updates, and RFI's
Qualifications

Required:

  • Experience using AutoCAD or similar CAD drafting software
  • Ability to read and understand construction plans, drawings, and technical documents, including architectural, civil, structural, and MEP drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic understanding of construction terminology and building systems
  • Ability to revise drawings based on redlines, field notes, and project updates
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple assignments
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Basic computer skills, including email, file management, and Microsoft Office or similar tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam, Revit, or other construction/document management software
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

Preferred:

  • 1+ year of CAD drafting experience in construction, engineering, architecture, environmental systems, or a related field
  • Experience with construction documentation, as-builts, permit drawings, or submittals
  • Experience drafting mechanical, plumbing, low-voltage, or environmental system layouts
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam, Revit, or other construction/document management software
  • Associate degree, technical certificate, or coursework in drafting, CAD, architecture, engineering, or construction management
