JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary
Regal Boats is seeking a motivated self-starter to join our team as a Field Service Technician. This individual will work alongside the Customer Service Team to perform a variety of warranty related repairs on campus and at remote locations including dealerships, private residences and marinas.

Compensation

$18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Repairing and replacing component parts, including but not limited to: cabinetry, canvas, electrical, upholstery, head and hull liner.
Potentially being required to perform services on drive train, generator or navigational electronics.
Repairing voids, cracks, scratches, chips and some structural problems in gel by cutting out defects, applying repair materials, buffing and polishing repairs.
Sanding, re-spraying and buffing surface profile imperfections.
Dis-assembling and reassembling parts onto the boat per the description of the Sales order, by using the correct tools and proper methods to attain the correct standard in the installation.
Removing and installing transom hardware, bilge equipment, ballast tanks, deck wiring, deck hardware, stereo, and helm assemblies as required for each job.
In final finish, cleaning, use of sealant, solvents, shrink wrap, use of light hand tools, installation of logos and basic graphics and basic use of a buffer.
All other duties as assigned.

Conversational English.

Preferred Qualifications
Be able to safely use a variety of hand tools, razor knives, scissors, power tools, and overhead hoists/cranes.
Possess or be able to obtain captains license (reimbursed by company)
Must have strong attention to detail
Must follow all safety standards and procedures
Must adhere to all quality standards
Must be able to work well with teams and in close proximity to each other
Must be able to work alone at times without direct onsite supervision
Able to understand and follow verbal and written directions
Valid driver license and good driving record, ability and willingness to travel, domestically and internationally. Must possess or be able to obtain a valid passport
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good Time Management skills in order to schedule and complete work in a timely and efficient manner
Experience working with fiberglass and resin
Proficient with PC using Microsoft Office suite and Google Docs
Work Environment
Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature reaching over 100 degrees fahrenheit at times.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend at the waist and knees and stand for extended periods of time. The employee is frequently required to climb into and out of the boats using stairs. The employee must frequently be able to lift 50 pounds, work 10 hour days with most of the time being on your feet, and work overtime, whether planned or unplanned. The employee must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements including respirators, gloves, chemical resistance aprons, and chemical resistant suits. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions, normal office environments or factory environments that are not climate controlled. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The factory in certain areas maintains a high fiberglass and dust environment. Employees in safety-sensitive positions such as this one must report to work fit for duty and must remain fit for duty throughout their work day. To be fit for duty, the employee must not be impaired by alcohol, illicit drugs, or medication.
