About Us


Tideman Marine, a division of United Plastic Fabricating, designs and manufactures high-density polyethylene (HDPE) boats for military and commercial marine use. Based in Ocala, Florida, USA, Tideman Marine operates a cutting-edge facility dedicated to designing and constructing welded HDPE vessels and custom marine products.



We are seeking experienced Boat Builders to join our team in a fast-paced, small industrial boat manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in boat manufacturing, demonstrate strong blueprint reading skills, and be proficient with both power and hand tools.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble hulls in accordance with blueprints and technical drawings
  • Perform layout, fitting, welding, and final assembly of components
  • Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently
  • Inspect parts and completed products to ensure quality standards are met
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency


Compensation: $21-$23/hour, based on experience and qualifications

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of manufacturing experience in boat building or marine fabrication required
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Proficiency with power tools (drills, grinders, saws, etc.) and hand tools
  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with tight production timelines
