Boiler Plumber & Steam Fitter

SUMMARY

Mobile Steam Boiler Rental Corp. is seeking an experienced, talented and dependable Plumber / Pipefitter to be a part of our growing team. In this role, you will work alongside other experienced boiler installers and technicians to ensure that the plumbing aspect of the project is completed to the client's expectations and the job specifications. We are responsible for installing rental boilers on a moment's notice, commissioning and de-commissioning the boilers and ensuring the successful operation of the boiler assets. There is also an element of continuous repair and on occasion new construction of mobile boiler assets involved in this role. We are not seeking a certified Master Plumber or Journeyman Plumber, but if you have any of these ratings your application will be considered with higher priority.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Layout, assemble, install, and repair all piping inside a temporary boiler trailer.
• Installation of equipment including oil pumps, water pumps, water tanks, in-take fans, low water cut-offs, steam traps, etc.
• Sufficient familiarity with pipe and fittings to enable candidate to layout an installation project and to order the required materials.
• Familiarity with steam and hot water systems.
• Measuring, Cutting, Threading, and Installing pipe in various locations.
• Ability to work outdoors in both cold and hot climates.
• Cutting and Threading with a Rigid 300 Machine (up to 4”).
• Welding experience.
• Ability to sweat copper fittings.
• OSHA 30, F-60 & G-60 is required. If not already in possession they will be completed the first week on the job.
• Working well in a team to accomplish tasks regardless of time demands.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years' experience in required duties.
• Valid and clean driver's license.
• Legally authorized to work in U.S - prepared to complete a background check.
• Capable of driving a Van or Box Truck.
• Ability to follow OSHA rules as to safety procedures and process.
• Willingness to work overtime and on weekends at times.

Skill Requirements:

• Work easily and skillfully with hands.
• Lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Climb and maintain balance on high ladders and scaffolding
• Frequent / all day standing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
• Able to work in confined spaces.
