Retail Banking Customer Service Rep

Job Purpose:
The primary focus of the Retail Customer Service Representative (CSR) is to ensure that the needs of the bank’s retail banking customers are being met in a professional, customer service orientated manner. CSR is the in-office focal point of a service/sales delivery team that delivers exemplary service to all the bank’s clients.
Job Responsibilities:
1.
Handles customer inquiries on bank products, services, and policies, opens new accounts, services current customer accounts, and researches and solves discrepancies in accounts and other customer problems as needed.
2.
Responds quickly to client requests involving account and loan balances, account activity, stop payments, transfers of funds, and wire transfers.
3.
Maintains client contact and prospect information to assist the Financial Center Manager/Loan Officer in cross selling and promoting the products of other departments and referring customers to the appropriate person.
4.
Assists the Financial Center Manager/Loan Officer in monitoring all daily activities and processes including daily overdrafts, past due loans, maturing loans, renewals, collateral exceptions, financial exceptions and deposit exceptions.
5.
Assists the Financial Center Manager/Loan Officer by proactively managing past dues and exceptions and acts accordingly under little or no supervision.
6.
Assists in preparing loan documents and processes advances and payments and to assist their respective Financial Center Manager/Loan Officer in loan closings.
7.
Receives visitors, answers telephones and schedules appointments. Composes and types correspondence and memos, prepares payment requests for department bills, maintains confidential files and performs other record keeping duties as required.
8.
Attend all BSA training (at least annual) offered through the bank. More frequent and/or specific training may be required, depending on job responsibilities. Perform job responsibilities to ensure the bank’s compliance with BSA/AML policies and procedures, which include detecting potential suspicious activity and reporting such activity to the BSA Officer and may include gathering and entering data into systems for monitoring and reporting.
Note: Incumbent may be asked to perform other non-essential duties as assigned.

Experience
Banking experience preferred; Experience in an Administrative or Business environment preferred
