Job Summary:
The IT Network Technician is responsible for providing support to the plant, manage all hardware and software programs and meet all corporate guidelines and policies.
Required Education and Experience:
Strong experience with troubleshooting software and hardware on laptops, desktops, servers, networking equipment, and handheld equipment
Excellent knowledge of Windows server 2012 R2, 2016, 2019, and 2022
Excellent knowledge of Office 365 product
Experience managing Switches, Routers, or Firewalls - configuration, replacing, upgrading
Demonstrated knowledge of TCP/IP, sub-netting, and VLANs
Managing server infrastructure including, but not limited to, Windows and Linux servers (virtual and physical), VMWare vCenter, Hyper-V, iSCSI SANs, Veeam Backup, Terminal Servers, SharePoint, File Servers, DDI, IIS, FTP
Manage SQL Server and create query
Managing Microsoft 365 technologies, such as Azure AD, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, MFA, SSO
Managing Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP
Providing feedback to IT management regarding system readiness, downtime, and maintenance, resource loads, and issues.
Providing after-hours/weekend support as part of our on-call rotation Managing and testing backups
Scripting languages such as PowerShell, VB, and Python
Responsible for the performance, uptime, and protection of the environment
Knowledge of AS/400 is a plus
EDI experience required
Automotive industries experience plus
PLC knowledge Plus
A+, Network+, and CCNA is a plus
College diploma or University degree in a related field
Excellent English Communication Skills (oral and written)
Experience with installing/supporting CAD software
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills
Critical thinker and attention to detail
Provide support and troubleshooting for end users
5 years relevant experience in information technology support and administration
Essential Functions:
Assist with maintenance of servers, desktop units, phone systems and critical applications in stable running order
Troubleshooting software, desktop, and network problems and devising business solutions
Assist with the disaster recovery of information systems; maintain business data links between software applications
Maintain user account information and perform security items as assigned
Maintaining processes and procedures to meet network, desktop, and user requirements
Protecting the security of the network as prescribed by the Company's policies and procedures
Monitoring and evaluating the efficiency of software/hardware usage; and installing new software applications or hardware on the network, desktop, and mobile devices
Adding and maintaining users on the network
Monitoring and reporting licenses on applications, servers, desktops, and other equipment to ensure compliance
Ensure all network and desktop patches are applied and functioning without conflict
Recommending improvements in network structure, products, and processes
Communicating with and supporting users in developing and using needed technological solutions, and establishing and enforcing organization standards
Managing interpersonal relationships in a positive and effective manner; accomplishing positive results through cooperative efforts with all departments; and contributing to the achievement of an ethical work environment
Assist in purchasing of IT related equipment and services
Compliance with Corporate policies and procedures
Implement internal controls at the division and ensure compliance with Bill 198
Provide continuous improvement ideas to enhance departmental performance and all aspects of the job
Coordinate operations
Ensure schedules and objectives are met
Abide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Martinrea Employee Handbook
