Senior Systems Engineer

We are seeking a talented Senior Systems Engineer to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a diverse team of motivated engineers, system integrators, and developers supporting our government client. The Senior Systems Engineer’s responsibilities will span research, design, and development and include the following:

Required Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and Huntsville, Alabama area residency
• Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline (e.g., systems, aerospace, electrical, mechanical, etc.) or a related technical field with at least 12 years of engineering related experience; or Masters and 10 years of experience; or PhD and 7 years of experience. Army Aviation experience highly preferred.
• Demonstrated technical leadership skills working with a cross-functional team.
• Ability to work mostly autonomously as well as in collaboration with the technical lead or engineering manager.
• Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration with internal and external customers.
• Sound problem resolution, judgment, and decision-making skills.
• Experience developing requirements, including requirements specifications for the customer’s system, subsystems, components, and end items.
• Demonstrated ability to use Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) principles to develop SysML system descriptions.
• Experience managing various program reviews to include Systems Requirements and System Functional Reviews, Preliminary Design, Critical Design Reviews, and IPTs
• Experience collaborating with system design and integration engineers in the development of Statements of Work (SOW), verification/test plans, and other acquisition documents; ensuring all necessary deliverables are complete and to the required standards.
• Experience with Cameo Enterprise (EA, a.k.a. MagicDraw)
• Strong working knowledge of the Systems Modeling Language (SysML).
• Demonstrated experience implementing systems engineering principles in an MBSE environment.
• Experience using at least one MBSE methodology (e.g., OOSEM, Harmony, MagicGrid, etc.).

Desired Qualifications

• OSCMP (OMG-Certified Systems Modeling Professional) Level I or II certification.
• Familiarity with the Cameo EA plugin SimToolKit for model simulations
• Familiarity with the Cameo EA plugin Product Line Engineering for variant modeling
• Familiarity with Cameo Teamwork Cloud
• Familiarity with the OOSEM methodology
• Familiarity with the Unified Modeling Language (UML)
• Experience developing various enterprise-level architecture model artifacts and viewpoints using the DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF).
• Proficiency in C++, Python, and/or MATLAB is not required but is a plus.
• Familiarity with Intercax Syndeia is not required but is a plus.

• Candidate must possess and maintain a Final Secret Clearance.
