What We Are Looking For
Overland Partners is looking for an Architectural Visualization Artist with proven experience creating high-quality 3D models, stunning imagery, engaging animations, and immersive environments. We seek an artist with a passion for relating architectural stories in beautiful, artistic visual compositions.
This individual will play a key role in guiding architectural concepts into engaging visual narratives, as well as creating a “visual voice” for the Overland studio. The ability to create images from start to finish (framing to polish) is a must. Your creativity, story-telling and problem-solving will guide our projects to success.
The ideal candidate will incorporate 3D model visualization, video, photography, and more to create compelling content and illustrate design intent/activation. This individual will work on multiple projects simultaneously and must have excellent time management skills. Project exposure will include Sports, Entertainment, Institutional, Mixed-Use, Residential, and Master Planning architecture in locations throughout the world.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with department leads and project teams to bring design concepts to life.
- Utilize 3D modeling and post-production software to develop and communicate detailed site and building designs to internal and external stakeholders.
- Work with clients and outside stakeholders to modify design options and drive resolution on open design elements and issues.
- Artistically create stills, animations, virtual reality, and real-time content, utilizing a variety of illustration styles and “looks” to support client vision.
- Demonstrate the ability to present and explain visuals to colleagues and clients.
- Ensure ideas are represented as accurately and attractively as possible.
- Visualize building concepts in various graphic mediums and styles.
- Keep up to date with relevant technology and software advancements.
- Contribute to assets library - harvesting sets, models and materials in the process of delivering live jobs.
- Implement new workflows and processes, contributing to the continuous evolution of the studio. Promoting and teaching production techniques for greater studio efficiency.
- Standardize and automate tasks where possible, freeing up time for creative growth.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Visualization or similar, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in an architecture firm preferred.
- Portfolio or PDF samples of current work, including a brief description of your role in the project or image.
- Positive and solution-oriented attitude.
- Self-motivated and proactive with high multi-tasking ability.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and project specifications.
- Effective time-management.
- Proven ability to work successfully within and across teams and external vendors.
