Primary hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM plus occasional Saturday work. Anyone with some or all of the skills listed below will be given serious consideration:
Table Blast and Tumble Blast Operation:
- Reading, understanding, and accurately following work order instructions and other documents.
- Understanding the fundamental operation of the blast equipment.
- Loading and unloading the table blast and tumble blast and initiating part processing (including computerized recipe entry).
- Operating and inspecting a forklift truck safely and accurately.
- Using the vapor blast cabinet to hand blast small jobs as needed.
- Checking parts after the blasting process to ensure their appearance is good and no part damage has occurred.
- Recognizing when processing equipment is not functioning properly and notifying the proper personnel, in a timely fashion, and helping to develop corrective action if possible.
- Recognizing when equipment is in need of adjustment or repair and being able to make minor repairs, and reporting and recording (logging) those events.
- Assisting in the start-up/shut down process.
- Signing off on completed process steps, both on the hard copy of the work order and in the computer software copy of the work order. This requires counting the parts (usually less than 100 pcs) to ensure the customer is not sent less than what they gave us.
- Communicating with other shift personnel to advise and alert them as to issues, priorities, and other pertinent information that they may need to perform their job functions properly.
- Red-Tagging and Quarantining material that is Non-Conforming or is suspected to be Non-Conforming and notifying the proper personnel of the actions and the reasons for the actions.
- Loading and unloading customer trucks at the shipping or receiving dock.
